ROSS Service Coordinator (Topeka, Kansas and Washington, DC):
The Resident Opportunity and Self Sufficiency (ROSS) Service Coordinator will be primarily responsible for the development and implementation of the One Million Moms OFF Welfare (1MMOW) ROSS action plan, and coordinating supportive services and other resident empowerment activities designed to help public housing residents reduce their dependency on housing and government subsidies.
These services should enable participating families to increase earned income, reduce or eliminate the need for assistance, make progress toward achieving economic independence and housing self-sufficiency, or, in the case of elderly or disabled residents, help improve living conditions and enable residents to age-in-place with dignity.
To this end, Contractor will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing workforce development programs and services for residents, connecting residents with needed resources, working with existing partners and establishing new partnerships to leverage additional resources and opportunities for residents.
